Arrival in USA and FIRST DAY JOB with IMBA

Finally after much delay, the tour has began,IMBA Arg USA Tour ...... but of course, we must not forget our origins and to do so there is nothing better than leaving the country with nothing more that 17 lbs of luggage (suitcase on board). I said .... Okay just a bag of 17 lbs, but nothing was said abouth all the extra clothes I was wearing, 3 t shirts, two divers two jackets, three pairs of socks, and of course all the things I could carry in your pockets (I officially love the pocket cargo trousers ). I think I carried 17 lbs on the suitcase and I wore another 33lbs. Felt almost like an astronaut. Luckily, in the land of opportunity, we will be able to buy everything we need.

In Peru I met my travel partner Daniel Corgnati, who is the Representative of Argentina in Patagonia IMBA
We arrived at Guntersville Park, an amazing state park, which is currently supporting the development of mountain biking to tourists, 20 miles from sustainable trails for XC and AM. After breakfast, at 5am ..... yes, you have read correctly, at 5am. We started to work at 6 am and at 9 am we had already built a stone walkway beside the trail for those seeking more technical challenges, because basically the path is for people of all levels from a child, even a novice or an professional. We are ten people working, we build roads, a father with his two sons, aged 13 and 15, the owner of a bicycle shop and the staff of IMBA and IMBA Arg

After doing that section we started to work with fun toys ..... rakes, shovels, pickaxes...we already have those in Argentina. We wanted to play with the Adult toys and we could not stop asking for them until we got them!, A skid steer loader (shovel) and a compactor, needed to make all drains, grade changes, and compact. During the first half hour was about learning the technique to use the new toys and lose fear of being trampled by the machine. Once you have understood how the machine works, the speed and quality of work is amazing. The paths are perfect! Hopefully, someday we will have one of these in Argentina. We work six more hours with machines. We finally went to sleep more than happy and super tired, we hope we will be able to get up tomorrow.
